There is nothing more inspiring than flying our nation's flag.  Many of our homes continue to proudly display the flag and many more will be on display as we come up to Labor Day and the anniversary of 9-11.
Some may not know that there is specific guidance provided in US Code, Title 36, Chapter 10 on just how we should display our flags.  The following is a small extract from that guidance.  You can find the full guidance by doing an Internet search on flag etiquette.

New GPOA Newsletter and Web Site
By Tom Ashmore
At the 15 August GPOA meeting I volunteered to head up the GPOA Communications Committee.  My first job was to redesign this newsletter.  I hope everyone will enjoy the new format and finds it     informative.  I've also redesigned the GPOA web site.  We've added many new features that I think everyone will find very useful.  For example, I've collected many links to web pages throughout the city, county, and state giving you access to          government, community services, tourism, news  media, etc.  You can use the links page to find almost
any web site available in and around San Antonio.   I plan on keeping the GPOA web site updated with new information and pictures.  I'll be attending the events to take pictures for everyone to view on the web site.  We have also discussed displaying a    picture of the "Yard of the Month" on the front of the web page.  Take a minute to visit the site at www.gpoa.org.  If you would like to help on the committee or have ideas to contribute you can send me email at tomashmore@sbcglobal.net.  There are also direct email links at the GPOA web site.
