Board Meetings Take On New Procedures: Looking For More Ideas

Carol Wilson, GPOA Board       President, wants to hear your ideas.  For this reason she has changed the board meeting procedures to accommodate more discussion for the Association members.
At each meeting the board will first take care of board member business.  This will be administrative business and items needed to be addressed and voted on from the previous meetings and  minutes.  Then Carol will close the   parliamentary portion of the meeting and open the floor for open discussion amongst all Association members,   visitors, and board members.  This is where you can present your ideas.      Although the formal portion of the

meeting will be closed, all discussions will be recorded by the GPOA Secretary.         Proposals that the general membership feel need to be moved forward will be set as agenda items in the following meeting where they will be addressed and voted on by the Board.
Carol feels this will allot more time to general discussion and bring more of your good ideas forward for formal consideration.  Of course, the main ingredient for success is your attendance and your ideas.  So please set some time aside to attend the meetings and present your views on how you would like to benefit as a member of the Association.  The next GPOA meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Community Center on October 1st.
