"I am looking forward to planning educational and fun events for the families
in our community. I have only been in the area for 1 year and I have
to say that I love my neighbors, especially the children. We have
a lot of fun together and we are always trying to come up with new ways
to spend time together. I am looking forward to meeting more families
in our community."
That's your new GPOA Activities Committee
Chairperson, Tina Rangel, and she has great ideas for the upcoming months.
Tina and her husband, John, are natural volunteers, already extensively
involved in Sunday School at the Cornerstone Church.
John is the Pastoral Director at Cornerstone and they teach both
4-year olds and pre-teens!
At the 19 Sept GPOA Board Meeting Tina and John presented a suggested list
of events for the community. The Board voted to support two Christmas
events to add to the already scheduled annual Halloween night at the Community
Center. These added events will be Visit With Santa on December 21st
and Christmas Caroling to take place the evening of December 22nd.
Also discussed was a possible GPOA health fair. |

Of course, these events will need more volunteers to be successful.

to put your name on a list of people to call on when the time comes. |
